As someone that doesn't really like Tequila, it is hard for me to create drinks with something that I do not enjoy. But that doesn't stop me from trying, especially for my Mama. While my mom was visiting one weekend, I decided to try out a recipe for a margarita, since that is one of her favorite drinks. I do not have any sour mix at home and only had this one bottle of tequila, but it worked out so well that my mom had 2 of them in one night. So, here is the recipe.

  • Start with a glass that has been rimmed with lime juice and coated in coarse salt

  • Add ice to the glass

  • 2.5oz Reposado Tequila (I am sure a silver tequila would work for this as well)

  • 1oz Triple Sec

  • 0.75oz Lime Juice

  • 0.75oz Simple Syrup

  • Stir well

  • Top with Seltzer water or Club Soda

*I found these glass straws on Amazon if anyone wants to order them.
